We are looking for a R&D Sr. Analyst for the Fermentation/Natural Preservatives Area of this panification company.

Main responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the Microbiological Laboratory activities.
  • Provide technical support to production and engineering teams.
  • Participate in the implementation of microbiological plants.
  • Develop and enhance food products, mainly related to biotechnological area.
  • Evaluate current and alternative ingredients for product formulations. Conduct sensory evaluations of new products.
Perform physical and chemical measurements on samples.
Maintain controls for the R&D group and production plant.
  • Perform bench experiments, evaluate the results, and prepare reports of tests performed.
  • Prepare the specification for materials (raw materials and packaging) and for finished products, prepare the technical data sheet and such as MSDS and control plan.
  • Visit target customers to solve problems.
  • Provide national and international trainings, seminars, and webinars for customers.
  • Organize and participate in national and international training, fairs, as well as working together wit our partners in Chile, Germany.
  • Propose and carrying out tests on customers.
  • Participate in national and international bids, providing technical and scientific knowledge.
  • Prepare technical material, sales forecasting, market research, and projections for sales, marketing, and application teams.
  • Participate and provide insights to the R&D committee.

Special requirements

Experience with food microbiology and natural preservatives is mandatory.

Participate on-call roster during night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Availability to travel in and out of Brazil frequently;

Good communication (oral and written); Commitment; Punctuality; Organization; Proactivity;

Requirements:

Graduation in Chemistry/Chemistry Engineering, Biology, Food Engineering, Food Science or Food Technology.

Master’s degree in related fields is highly valued.

3-5 years of experience in R&D department of food industry sector is mandatory.

3-5 years of experience in Food Microbiology.

Fluence in English is mandatory. Spanish is desirable.
